Feng Shui means ‘ WIND ‘ and ‘ WATER ‘. By positioning the house directions, doors, internal house bed/door/stove/air well/toilet/store room together with water feature, fish pond or the aquarium positions according to the theory of Feng Shui, one could live to create a fortune and avoid any disaster naturally.

Feng Shui is not a superstitious or religious mystic; it is a combination of science, geography, philosophy and astrology and study in order for man to live in harmony with the environment. It has passed through the test of more than a thousand years.

Water is the dragon’s favorite element. For thousands of years, Emperors build water features, fountain, aquarium and fish pond in or outside their palace order to foster their kingdom.

In scientific explanations, due to the moving or frictions of water molecule, the water feature, fish pond, fountain or water fall creates ‘ chi ‘ instantly. What is “ Chi “? Scientist has discovered that it is the negative ion with some combinations of electron from the sun.

The sun produce atoms element, which is proton and electron. It is the electron that activates the negative ion. Many research has done by the scientist proves that negative ion is excellent for health and healing. A house bathe with negative ion could bring harmony, comfort, coziness, calmness, personal well being, good health and etc. .

There are two fundamental ways to position a water feature, rock waterscape, fountain or aquarium.

Consult a Geomancy for the best suitable position base on ‘ San Yuan Phai ‘ Feng Shui theory of ‘ The Flying Star’ to check and determine the correct and current period of Feng Shui calendar.

Position the water feature based on design aesthetic, convenience and comfort ability. The water feature should always position at the left hand side of the entrance/garden as this is the green dragon position. For indoor placement, always place water feature in the living or dining rooms. Never in the bedrooms. Logically, a water feature requires regular maintenance and water change. Dampness, dead fish releases bad smell, bacteria and the noise of filtration system can be annoying.

THE WASTE POND

Waste pond is a concrete made water pond for the collection of human waste, left dissolve and process before discharging to the river or stream. The pond could create toxic gas and bad smell during certain occasions due to over flowing and machinery malfunction.

It should be located far away from residential area. However, it is sometimes sited too close to houses because of cost saving or bad town planning.

Consequently, a house with waste pond frontage could be damaging to the occupants health and affecting the financial well being.

The flowing, clear and clean water produces NEGATIVE ION, adding with the electron element from the sun, the Chinese feng shui calls it “ CHI “. A house with plenty of good “ Chi “ is consider good feng shui which could bring good luck, stay healthier and would get rich quick.

What is NEGATIVE ION and its effects on human being? Please read the following researched from a scientist:

“…..A great deal of research was also carried out by Dr. Albert Krueger in California - One of his first discoveries was that a surprisingly small amount of negative ions could kill and take out of the air, the types of bacteria that cause colds, influenza and respiratory infections. He then went on to keep large groups of mice in various concentrations of ions, some positive, some negative and some in normal balance. In 1960 a scientific paper was published on the results. The conclusions were almost identical to those of Dr. Sulman. An excess of positive ions led to overproduction of serotonin which initially created hyperactivity, leading to exhaustion, anxiety and depression. He also found that an excess of negative ions appeared to have a calming effect, and a reducing of serotonin levels in the brain. The experiments were "double- blind"-so that neither the staff nor the researchers knew whether the ionizers were on or off at any given time. The most dramatic results were in the air-conditioned areas, the incidence of headaches in the computer room being reduced by 78 per cent during the midnight to 08.30 shift. Norwich Union was sufficiently convinced to decide to keep the ionizers, and order another ten ceiling-mounted models, giving them 20,000 sq ft of ionized office space…… “

Due to the excreta heavily mix with water, the NEGATIVE ION can not be released. Human waste also emanating germs or bacteria, and the wind would then bring it to the house near by.

THE TAU SHAR

It is the similar situations with THE ROAD SIGN.

The bill board, or the commercial sign is large in size and even if the sign is not fitted with bright neon light, it will still create havoc when your house is fronting the side of this commercial signboard.

The commercial bill board is manufactured using almost entirely steel structure. Steel is Metal element and equivalent to knife or sword. Fronting a large piece of steel would interrupt the earth’s magnetic field.

Then this sign board is causing a ‘ Tau Shar ‘ or knife and blood shed disaster to you. The sides of the signboard look as if a big sword which look as if ready to slash towards your house. Having a ‘ Tau Shar ‘ on you would be causing you having injuries or serious operation.

Beside causing earth electromagnetism, the blowing wind also create infrasound which is harmful to health if the steel board is side fronting. Not forgetting that science has proven that the wind blow to steel surface produces positive ion.

What is POSITIVE ION and its effects on human? The below research statement has the explanations:

The research also showed that exposure to positive ions can trigger an over-production of histamine, which most people will immediately recognise as the body chemical that aggravates allergies. Statistically it was found that 25% of the population are quite strongly affected by levels of ions in the air. Of the remainder, 50% are affected considerably, although 25% do not appear sensitive at all…... “

Suggestion for Feng Shui improvement:
Move to another house or dismantle the sign. If unable to do so, hang a Chinese cooking wok on the window with the wok base pointing to the sign. Close the curtain at all time and have some bigger tree or plants to block off the bad ‘ Chi ‘.

Many years ago, a group of expert has conducted a surveyed for durations of 5 years focused on whether human living near to high tension electric tower has any impact on health.

The result is negative; for normal children the percentage of blood cell problems is 1/20000. But for children who live close proximity to the tower the percentage of blood cell problems increase to 50% higher, which is 1/10000.

This reveals that there could be higher electro frequency or radiation existence around a certain ratio of this area.

The power stations are as below:
· The high tension electric tower
· The electric sub station
· The telecommunication transmission tower
Below statement are a researched done by a group of engineer:
“ …… They change a high voltage, often 11,000 volts, into 415/230 volts to be fed to the nearby houses. Rural areas may have small grey box transformers attached part way up a wooden pole. Sometimes on the outskirts of a town there may be a large 'nest' of transformers, and overhead cables leading to them. There may also be underground cables leading to or away from the transformers. The size of substations is variable, depending on whether they serve mainly residential properties, or also commercial and industrial units.
Schools and institutions such as hospitals often have their own substation. In cities, flats, workplaces and sometimes houses, can have substations next to, or under the property (in a basement), as part of the building structure. There are two types of field produced by overhead and underground cables and the substation equipment itself; electric fields and magnetic fields.
The strength of the electric field depends on the voltage. Electric fields from substation equipment are unlikely to extend beyond the equipment housing, as they are screened by practically all building materials. Magnetic fields are caused by electric current flowing when people use electrical power. For all practical purposes magnetic fields cannot be stopped and will travel through walls as if they were not there. Only careful design of wiring and of electrical equipment can significantly reduce magnetic fields.
Magnetic fields also come from underground cables. The electric fields will be zero as they are screened by earth, concrete, sand etc…… “

THE LAMP POST

Lamp post or street light with power line is essential to road users and pedestrians after dark. It also brightens up the way to your home. At least a robber or thief will think twice for choosing your house as their target.

A lamp post is always made of steel or metal material, and it is similar to a knife or ‘metal ‘in Feng Shui principle elements of Metal, wood, Water, Fire and Earth.
If one or more of these lamp posts are fitted at your house frontage, you are having the ‘ Chuan Sin Shar ‘ or sword stabbing disaster.

It is terribly effective with a west direction house, when the sun coincidentally cast the lamp post shadow onto the house.

You or your children would be the one that often have bruises and injuries, probably motor accident.

Scientist has discovered over 50 years ago, that by fixing electric cable on two pole with electric current on will produce electromagnetism and EMF frequency. Over exposed and bathe under high radioactive EMF frequency could be resulting to cancer. It is similar to explanations in THE POWER HOUSE .

Living next to a market place could be very convenient. Besides, you may have better discount when buying vegetable or fresh food, as the vendors may become your good friends.

Fronting too near market place could also be your nightmare. A market place especially the wet market, sells fast rotten food such as vegetables, chicken, beef, pork, seafood and etc. As such, the market is always filled with unpleasant smell.

The Chinese and Buddhist believe that all five forms have souls. The spirits of the pig, cow, snake, dog, goat, chicken or duck will remain at the place of death. Hence making the place with heavy ‘ Yin ‘ or contaminated with poisonous ‘ Chi ‘.

Common sense will tell you that the market place is always noisy with motor bikes, cars & trucks engine, people talking or arguing with high voices. Death animal and decay of the vegetable is the best breeding place for inserts and bacteria grow.

Suggestion for Feng Shui improvement:
Move to a house with east direction. If unable to move now, close the curtain at all time. Always have your front light on.

An ideal main door position should be at the centre of the house frontage. The back door should be located at the left or right hand side of the house with the shapes of an ‘ L ‘.

All doors whether it is main door fronting to back door, bedroom door fronting to bedroom door, bedroom door fronting to toilet door, or main door fronting to toilet door, is prohibited in theory and methodology of Feng Shui study.

When a door is facing another door, it is causing the ‘ Men Chun ‘ or door crashing disaster. Living face to face with door opposing may contribute to argument, quarrel, fighting or even injuries.

A main door should not be fronting a concrete wall, rock mountain, marketing place, restaurant or pub or discotheques, police station, fire station, cemetery, temple, mosque and church, highway and bridges, rubbish collection station or dump area or refuse chamber, t junction and others which has been stated in other topics.

Suggestion for Feng Shui improvement:
Reposition one of the ‘ Men Chun ‘ door few feet away. If unable to do so, Put up a curtain or beads curtain at either door or both doors.
Consult an experience geomancer to position the main door based on ‘ SAN YUAN PHAI ‘ feng shui.

THE BED

Bed is the most important place in a home. It is always ideal to be position it right or left after entering the bedrooms. Alternatively, the bed head should be on the same wall with the door and it must be leaning against a solid brick wall.

The bed should not be facing directly to the bedroom door, because it is not only unpleasant or rude to sleep on the bed with your legs wide open, it is also creating a ‘ Men Chun ‘ or door crashing disaster. In this situation, you will be having health problems or injuries.

The bed shall not be directly fronting a toilet door as science has proving evidence that toilet not only emit bad small, or unhygienic, high humidity, it is also emanate positive ion and radon or radioactive positive ion possibility as they travel fast with water.

It is also not recommended to position a bed directly under a concrete beam.
Suggestion for Feng Shui improvement:

It is most advisable to layout the bed fronting your fate kua and element, for example, if you are born in 1964 belongs to dragon or wood and wood burns fire, fire is north or LI. Therefore the ideal bed fronting should be NORTH.

Suggestion:
Consult a Geomancy to find out the most matching position base on ‘ San Ha Phai ‘ Feng Shui by studying the date, year and time of your birth.

A sign board is very important for shop businesses. Most of the sign boards do not pose any danger or problem to others.

When a sign board is fitted with too many bright or glaring lights, or it is made of neon light, this sign board is creating the ‘ Kuang Shar ‘, or light disaster to the people living next door, up stair balcony or front of a house.

Subsequently the effected family could be requiring more medical treatment for injuries, headache, dizziness, sleep disorder, backache or muscular paint or other sickness due to the existence of this ‘ Kuang Shar ‘.

Living standard in the city is much more expensive than in the village. Many people were forced to live in a small and tiny flat in order to save cost. Due to the space limitations in the flat, some has installed a steel cage in the kitchen or the balcony simply to gain an extra few more feet.

They may gain a little bit of free space, but they would always not make enough money to cover their bills. These people who live with a cage built at the window or balcony is setting their own entrapment.

They are the cage man.
They do not have many opportunity, they would always have problems at work and could be living in poverty.

Scientifically, it is due to steel element of the cage has interrupted/enhance the earth’s electro magnetic field.
This situation is exactly similar to THE BRIDGE as described.

Some of the temples are also the worship places for the dead especially the Chinese temples. Many people nowadays prefer to place their ancestors’ jugs of ashes in the temple thus making it spiritually filled.

For scientific terms, these places are creating infrasound due to the great volume or loudness produce either by group praying, broadcasting, group singing and funeral music or functions.

ROAD HIGHER THAN HOUSE

A road higher than a house either in any shapes and types, whether it is a narrow path, country road, trunk road, main road or highway is a resemblance of bad omen.

Due to the higher road or ground in front, the house will be unable to receive the earth’s beneficial ‘ Chi ‘, without the existence of the positive energy, the house soon accumulates a heavy ‘ Yin ‘. The negative energy is harmful to human.

In scientific point of view, a house on the lower terrain is comparatively dangerous to flatten or higher ground. The dust and dirt on the road spill easily to the house, the imperfect air circulation resulted to virus, bacteria and toxic gas contaminations.
Common sense will tell you that the house will be having problems of visibility to the on coming traffic, thus it could be ended up with higher motor vehicle accidence.

The house would also to be at the risk of flood.
It also symbolizes being buried under the earth alive. You could have cancer, serious operation and your financial would be stifled if you stay in these houses for long period.

Be extra careful when buying or placing the following items at home, these artifacts would create ‘ Shar Chi ‘ or crashing disaster if position incorrectly.

Plants – Live plants attracts insects such as mosquitoes, flies, bugs, worms and bacteria. It would make a place gloomy with too many plants. It is a bad omen when flowers or plant died and dried up. Always position it in the indoor garden and living room only, or else place I t outdoor. Dried flowers are also prohibited in Feng Shui as it symbolizes dead.

Sculpture – Chinese believes that all life form, whether an animal or human sculpture, would turn to spirit after some time. An ugly Red Indian head or a plastic human skull may create a soul.

These soul carries a different ‘ chi ‘ element. A person in Dragon horoscope is opposing the Dog, A Rat does not match the Horse, The snake will stumble a Pig and so on… Do not bet your luck if you don’t know what elements and signs you belong to.

Tree is good to nature, supplying fresh oxygen as well as providing the breezy shades, as been described in THE TREE.

Unless you live in a bungalow or villa with a big garden or compound, planting too many trees too near a house is hazardous. Tree is good when it is at the reasonable minimum of 30’ 0” away from the house.

When a link or small compact house planted with too many trees, with trees fully grown, you may have the ‘ Shar Chi ‘ or disaster. The house would be haunted and you could have serious illness, or even mentally sick.

From scientific or common sense explanations, the tree is actually blocking the sun light which is essential to kill viruses or bacteria in the air. With the absent of the sunlight, the surrounding and interior will be higher humidity which is the perfect breeding ground for many bacteria and insert. You will be living together with many insects, flies, mosquitoes, ants and worms.

There are many bridges in the city; the road bridges and the pedestrian bridge.
It is made of either steel or reinforced concrete material.
Almost all these straight and high bridges are having bad influence on people living with their house facing it.

You could be seriously ill, mentally disturbed and living in poverty due to this frontage of steel structur pedestrian bridge.

Modern day scientific evidence has proves that steel may disturb/enhance the earth electro magnetism. A place or houses with strong electro magnetism is the major cause of haunting.

In Feng Shui theory, water is the favorite element of the green dragon.
For scientific explanations, it is not only the air circulation is pleasing, the view is magnificent, and the air that you breathe is from the vapor steam of the sea or lake water. Many people move into their new home without doing any renovation works. It is not a problem if you are comfortable with the existing conditions.

The disadvantage is you may be seeing concrete beams on the ceiling of your living room, kitchen or the bedrooms.

It does not matter where the beams will be. In Feng Shui theory it is only the master bedroom will be affected, if it is over your head.
You will always be in distress, anxiety, under pressure and mentally sick if sleeping with the beams on top for some time!

In scientific explanations, the house, or the master bedroom with the beam is actually posing wit the dangerous energy call infrasound. Infrasound is an inaudible sound wave which may be produce by volcano eruption, bomb blasting, moving vehicle, construction site, factories machinery and etc…

When a house frontage is facing a bigger and taller house or building, the result could be the both ends, you are very good in health with plenty of cash, or you may be bankrupt with serious sickness.

Fronting a bigger / taller house or building is always not advisable, as it is blocking the air flow, external view and positive energy of the earth.

It is only if your house finally reaches to the right period of Feng Shui calendar, your luck will be revitalized.
This is because when the right period has arrived, it carries the good ‘ chi ‘ along, these ‘ chi ‘ will hit the opposite building , which is acting as a curtain and bounces back to your house. By then you could perceive an astonishing success.

A person who live in the apartment, flat, condominium or any house with ‘Min Tang ‘ or frontage facing a swimming pool is having more chances of getting richer faster than average people. Due to the massive development in the city, many hills and mountains have already been excavated, cleared and worked to the desired ground level.

There is always a rubble retaining wall built along at one or more of the land corner to prevent soil erosion. That is where the problem comes.

If your house is fronting the 3’ 0” or higher retaining rubble wall, the wall is posing as a ‘ chet mian shar ‘ or tattoo face disaster. You will be inviting thief and robber to your house, and your health may be in red light.

Common sense is that if a higher wall is directly fronting your door, it is actually blocking the view from outside. A robber or thief is always fond of these types of houses because their illegal activities will be out of visibility.

A house with curve or cornering road, with the house situated at the outer side of the curve, it is posing a ‘ Tau Shar ‘ or bleeding disaster.

People who live in this house could have bad health, accident and damaging to their career.

This is because the moving cars on the road is bringing along the chocking or unstable ‘ Chi ‘ and the ‘ Chi ‘ is crashing to your house.

It is also psychologically due to the curve road which depicts the Chinese sword; the feelings of positioning on the tip of the sword and the fear of motor vehicle unable to control and rammed into your house may eventually cause the scary emotion.

In terms of scientific facts, the house on the cornering road is subjected to infrasound and air pollution.

Always remember not to live or buy a house fronting the police station, prison, fire station, hospital, grave yard, ortopsy house, coffin shops or haunted house.

These are the places prohibited in Feng Shui theory, because people who are kept and stay here are usually with heavy ‘ Yin ‘ element, or negative energy such as the dead, patient, robber, rapist, murderer, conmen and other criminals.

It is common sense that it will create mental disturbance when you are constantly hearing and watching the ambulance or police car with their noisy sirens rushing in or out of the stations, carrying the criminal suspect or corpse.

It is also not healthy to stay by the hospital and cemetery because these places have high risk of bacteria infection.

This is because the shape of the roof pitch is triangular. Triangular shape is considered ‘Fire” element. A Fire would burn the person with fate elements of metal, wood and earth.

A Flat, apartment or condo at a higher level is an advantage. This is because almost all the bad elements of Feng Shui could be avoided such as the power house, waste pond, lamp post, traffic sign, commercial sign, road junctions, noisiness, bad shape mountain or other lower buildings with roof pitching and etc.

The possibility of bad element fronting your lower level house could have the following effects:

• Fronting power line or high tension electricity cable – It is scientifically proven that these power line produces electrostatic electric which could cause cancer, if living too near.

Not many good mountains view can be found in the city. With today’s rapid development and constructions, a beautiful mountain is rarely seen because most of it has been flatten with trees chopping down.

If you are fortunate enough to have a mountain behind your house, you shall not be worry much for your future. A mountain behind signify that your business will grow sturdy with many unexpected, giving without return rewards help from friends and business associate. If you are working for a company, your superior and bosses is always ready to promote you to a higher degree.

But remember, this only happens to beautiful, fair rounded peak and fully greens and trees covered mountains.
A mountains with many trees chopped, land excavated leaving exposed red earth or a rocky, many sharp stone pitching mountains will not only giving zero good effects, it is indeed a bad signs that your money and future is started to turn gloomy.

Scientifically, a mountain behind not only block the seasonal wind, such as many country is having sickening hot, cold and/or dry wind namely, the Alpine foehn wind of the America, Simoon wind of the Sahara, the Santa Anna of California, Sirrocco wind of Italy, Sulman wind of Israel, the Sharav of middle east and many others. Do not compromise if the sales person is offering to you a house with frontage of a waste pond, electric sub station, telecommunication or high tension tower, as you cannot view the actual house therefore taking your chances.

Hence the safest way is to select the house with a field front.
A field in front will have a good ‘ Min Tang ‘, beside avoiding many unpleasant objects, it provides you the best, undisturbed ‘ Chi ‘, and that’s the fundamental of a good Feng Shui home.

What is ‘CHI’ and where does it come from?

Due to the increase in populations and motor vehicles in the city, many highways were built in order to tackle the traffic congestion.

A road or a highway do not have much bad influence if it is built on the ground lower or slight different level to a house.

A house or an apartment with an elevated highway frontage could leads to the following effects:

On the left or right – Make you sick and tired
On the front – Your health is worsening and wealth decreasing.

From the scientific point of view, a house fronting an elevated highway with heavy traffic of lorry, truck, buses, car and motor bikes rampaging could be seriously exposed to infrasound, dust and vibration.

Webster dictionary defines infrasound, or infrasonic, as:
Having or relating to frequency below the audibility of the human ear,
Utilizing or produced infrasonic waves or vibrations.

Cross and T – junction positioned house is always not a good choice to live.
If your house is fronting right in the middle of a cross or T junction, you are creating a ‘ Chian Shar ‘ or “gun shot disaster”.

You will not live happily in this house, your health and your wealth is deteriorating. The intensity of Shar will be increased if the road in front sloping down to your house.

This type of house is only suitable for person with tough fate, such as the arm forces, police, lawyer, politician and illegal business operator.

In layman explanations, it is simply a psychological factor of fear that any vehicle may be unable to stop and eventually rammed into the house. When the night falls it is the fear of ghost, where as the flying objects on the window is actually the lamp post, the bird or the tree!

Scientifically, the earth underground produce many vicious gas, such as Radon or radioactivity positive ion, helium, sulphur and other natural gas.

Especially the Radon, where in US the Environmental Agency of the United State, has actually identified more than 20,000 people die due to Radon related disease and cancer.
